ICEM is organised by international IAEMGS (International Association of Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomic Societies member societies.)
This conference is organized jointly by the European Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society (EEMGS) and the United Kingdom Environmental Mutagen Society (UKEMS).

ICEM 2026 will be held at Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) in the heart of Scotland’s capital city. Edinburgh nestles between the rivers Almond and Esk on the southern shores of the Firth of Forth. The city is a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity, with many parts of the city dating back to medieval times.

The theme of the ICEM 2026 is “Blending new technology with traditional genotoxicity approaches to solve real-world problems." Developing new technologies to understand the impacts on our genome and our health is vital, as is the continued deployment of state-of-the-art approaches developed over recent years. Mechanistic understanding of genome threats, the use of innovative in vitro models, artificial intelligence, and novel bioinformatics platforms are essential and will be a key focus across the program.
