Recommendation: Update to CodeMeter Runtime 9.10

To ensure continued reliability and security, WIBU recommends updating to CodeMeter Runtime 9.10.

This release includes improvements that address two issues identified under specific system configurations:

• An issue affecting certain Windows environments under particular conditions.
• An issue that may affect installations where CodeMeter is configured as a network server. Only systems with the network server functionality enabled are potentially impacted.

For MetaSystems users, the first issue is generally not relevant, as it relates to functionality that is not used by MetaSystems applications. The second improvement is relevant for environments where the CodeMeter Runtime is used as a dongle server. Therefore, we strongly recommend upgrading to CodeMeter Runtime 9.10, particularly on systems providing network licenses.

As a general best practice, we also recommend operating CodeMeter on a current, actively supported Windows version, such as Windows 11, to benefit from the latest security and reliability updates. At this time, we are not aware of any widespread impact on customer installations, but applying the update helps ensure your system remains protected and up to date.
