35 Years of MetaSystems - 2012
The Standard Model of particle physics successfully describes the known elementary particles and their interactions. For a long time, however, it was not possible to find an answer to the question of where the elementary particles obtain their mass within the framework of this model - until researchers discovered the Higgs boson in 2012 with the aid of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European CERN research center in Switzerland. The story of this discovery shows how experimental work based on a promising theory can lead to success. The development of many applications for Metafer by MetaSystems is similar. The finished solution rarely reveals how many working hours of developers, testers, and application specialists are behind it.
